Juan Pedro López
Biography
Despite the fact that his father, also Juan Pedro, has been a cycloturist for many years, cycling never caught his attention until the day his football training was suspended and he got on a bicycle for doing something. He was 12 years old and since then he has not stopped.
Juanpe began competing at the age of 13 at the Peña Ciclista Trebujena, the closest to Lebrija. He ran in Club Ciclista de Galapagar in his first year as a youth and was the only second year junior selected after the Campus of the Alberto Contador Foundation in 2015.
Is a very complete and combative rider and has his strongest point in the ascents. In his first year Under 23 already demonstrated his regularity in stage races, especially if they have high mountain, which reconfirmed last year. This season will be the third in the category and he aspires to make the quality leap that everybody predict.
Juan Pedro plans to do a Higher Degree in Physical and Sports Activities. He is an unconditional supporter of Real Betis Balompié soccer team and his idol is Joaquín Sánchez.
