Biography

He learned to ride a bike at 6 years old and two years later he started competing with the VeloSport Abbiategrasso Team, near Milan. At 16 years old he changed that jersey for the one of the Cycling Society Busto Garolfo, where he spent three seasons. From there he went, as U23, to Viris Maserati de Pavia, where he has spent the last three years of his career, before joining the Polartec-Kometa of the Alberto Contador Foundation.

His love for the bicycle comes from his family, since both his father, Francesco, and his mother, Cristina (who ran one of the first women’s Giros of the history), have been cyclists, although neither of them, at the begining, wanted their son follow this path.

The victory in the U23 Italian Road Championship this year has been the most important of his career and he calls himself as a good rouleur with a good top speed. He would like, above all, to win a great classic and a stage of the Tour de France.

He has finished his High School studies during his first U23 year and since then he has been exclusively dedicated to cycling, although in the future he would like to study Accounting.
